"deadeyesteve" shoots the Shooting Challenge!
"deadeyesteve" shoots the challenge and reconfirms what a few others have said. He shows multiple runs and notes the limitation of speed before the hits get wild. For each shooter there is a point at which you can not go any faster without suffering accuracy. The balance of speed and accuracy is a quest for all of us. Of course practice and dryfiring can help these things.

"Shred2DotNet" Shoots the Challenge with a Desert Eagle 50AE!
"Shred2DotNet" has fun with the challenge and shoots it with a DE 50! Unfortunately the video appears to lag the audio because of a camera issue, but you can see the plates move from the hits. But even for shooting at a farther distance than he needed, his time is just over 4 seconds.

"AustinShootingSports" Takes another run at the Challenge!
Tim of "AustinShootingSports" shoots the challenge again. Not a bad time for having the targets spaced too far apart!
"AustinShootingSports" shoots the challenge!
"AustinShootingSports" shoots the challenge with a Smith and Wesson M&P Pro. Unfortunately it appears they had the targets set too far apart so I'm sure that did not help on the transition from target to target.
"GunSense" Runs the Challenge again and gets even faster!
"GunSense" was the first to respond to the challenge and comes back again with an even faster time that before using his Glock 17.

"samprasfoon06" BURNS down the challange with an AirSoft! You have to see this!
"samprasfoon06" shoots the challenge with an iron sighted Limited Airsoft gun. In countries with heavy restrictions on guns or are banned, Airsoft replicas are used to compete with instead. Airsoft replicas of IPSC guns are very realistic but lack the range of real steel. So the IPSC targets are "reduced" in size to simulate more distance between the target and shooter to help aid in the power and accuracy of the 6mm BB. Even though no paper plates are used, the hits samprasfoon06 gets are on a smaller area. Bad Ass run!

CompetitionDVD runs the Challenge with a Gas BlowBack Airsoft pistol!

Gas Blow Back GBB Airsoft Pistols are a great training tool for real Steel. They give a realistic feel even though the recoil is much less than the real thing. Plus, you can practice shooting them in your garage or backyard.

GSG 1911 22LR IPSC Open Gun Project
It had to happen eventually. I just couldn't resist the temptation of creating an Open gun out of a Sig Sauer (GSG) 1911-22 pistol. So I took an older C-More Railway Red Dot that I had laying around and mounted it on my GSG. The comp is a prototype in the video and the finished design is now available HERE. I plan to replace the Grip Safety / Beaver Tail with a more ergonomic one. I find the stock grip safety to be a bit uncomfortable. I also plan to replace the main spring housing with a new flat one with an Integrated Magwell since the +2 and +3 basepads work great with magwells. I'll keep you updated as the progress continues.
