Just a little artistic video I thought was fun to make. From practice ammo to match ammo, follow the life span of a pistol case. The gun used is my STI custom Open pistol chambered in 38 Super with a C-More Red dot and compensator. The gun appears to preform best using 115 grain 9mm bullets at a velocity of over 1400fps.

AR15 22LR Conversion Kit for Training
I purchased a new 22LR conversion kit for my 556 M4 rifle so that I had an economical alternative for training and for the kids to use. Over the past couple of years of owning it, its broke twice now. The first time was at the rear where the buffer of the rifle meets up with the conversion kit. I heard this is a common problem since the factory does not weld that part very well. CMMG was quick to issue me an RMA number and return it with a much more durable weld. The latest breakage is the 5.56 adapter part of the kit. From the pictures below you can see how a crack developed along the length of the chamber sleeve. Needless to say I was disappointed that I had to end my shooting session early because of this. But to my delight, CMMG is sending me a replacement adapter after sending them a picture of the crack. Has anyone else experienced issues with their 22 conversion kits?

Get into the Fight! National 2nd Amendment Day: "A Call to Action!"
This is not really my cup of tea. When it comes to political talks, I tend to join the silent majority. But there is no way I will sit on the sidelines on this issue of "gun control". I will not sit by and watch more of my freedoms be taken away from me bit by bit. Its bad enough that we are taxed as much as we are, but when our self serving government officials prepare to take away the very tools that help to ensure our self protection, it is time to step up and be silent no more. Please do what you can to help fight this power hungry, ever encroaching and stifling government. You and I are small, but in numbers, we can become bigger. The only real way to become bigger is to join pro gun groups such as the NRA. Contact your egotistical representatives and tell them to NOT support any new gun legislation. Let them know you will be following their actions on this matter with great interest.
History tends to repeat itself. You only have to crack open your school history books to see the trends where the population is forced or tricked into becoming unarmed, followed by great atrocities. If we were unarmed today, we might not see these atrocities in our life time. But there is no guarantee that your children will not suffer them.
Don't give in... not even an inch. Otherwise we will look like Australia in this video below.

Youth Rossi Single Shot 410/22LR
My son wanted an $89 airsoft rifle. I made him a deal. I told him I would get him a shotgun if we could pass on the airsoft gun (I had already told him I would get him an airsoft). I figured the shotgun would be a better investment over the long run and he would get more use out of it. As a bonus the 410 Rossi that we got came with a 22LR barrel for about $150 total. Not a bad deal. Needless to say he was very excited and can not wait to shoot it. We'll be heading to the ranch this weekend for one last hunt and of course for him to try out his new scatter gun :)
Update: since we go it we decided to give it a camo paint job. So when a cousin of mine was visiting while on leave from the Army, he did the work. Click here to see it
