Speed Shooting Challenge to the Viewers!

Welcome to the Speed Shoot Challenge! I hope you will take me up on my challenge and test your skills on how fast and accurately you can shoot. As you upload your video responses to my challenge video, I will embed them here on my blog where you should find it easy to navigate and view fellow shooters participating in the challenge. Remember, this is for bragging rights as well as showing off gear to the community! Shoot fast and be safe!

For this challenge I am using an Uncle Mike's Tactical Kydex Holster for my Beretta 92f and Uncle Mike's Tactical Kydex Double Magazine Pouches See the video below on a few tips to help your results at shooting the challenge.

Shooting Challenge Part 2

Here is the second shooting challenge to the YouTube community. I've added more difficulty the challenge. This challenge includes movement and choosing the best order to shoot the targets based on your ability and the layout of the stage. Remember, 2 hits anywhere on paper and 1 hit on steel (use a paper plate if you do not have steel). This is what I consider "running it clean" (no misses). Here are a few tips to help you decrease your time.

"AustinShootingSports" Runs the Challenge with an AR15!

Dave with "AustinShootingSports" takes the challenge to a new level of fun and uses an AR15 and produces a smoking time. Although its not a pistol, the original point to this challenge was to get people out and shoot differently than you would normally do. I'd like to see someone run it with an AK47 now!

Shooting The Speed Shoot Challenge in the Dark

I took the Challenge one step further to demonstrate how shooting in the dark can be difficult. Shooting in the dark adds a whole new degree of difficulty. I used a Streamlight TLR-1 LED Rail Mounted light on the Glock 19 which makes it much easier than using a hand held light, but still hard none the less. Shooting in the dark is just plain awkward. If you have never tried it give is a shot some time. Make sure you have practiced your gun handling skills, because this is where your engraved safety skills are really going to pay off. Granted, I know where the targets are and I am not doing any movement in this video above. So, in reality it is fairly easy. NOW, take a look at the video below. This is a "Blind Stage" that I shot at a 3 gun match a few years ago. A "Blind Stage" means that you are not allowed to look at the stage setup AND you do not know howmany of the targets are in the stage. Plus I had to break a door with an SBR (Short Barreled Shotgun) for the 1st time ever. Talk about awkward!

"Jeremiafull" Runs the Speed Challenge!

"Jeremiafull" from Switzerland shoots the challenge with a CO2 powered pellet pistol. I love seeing the variety of guns used in the challenge. I have no doubt that all of these guns can easily translate into the users ability with a real firearm. So what every you have, keep up up the gun handling skills. Practice with what you have because the mechanics are the same.

"deadeyesteve" shoots the Shooting Challenge!

"deadeyesteve" shoots the challenge and reconfirms what a few others have said. He shows multiple runs and notes the limitation of speed before the hits get wild. For each shooter there is a point at which you can not go any faster without suffering accuracy. The balance of speed and accuracy is a quest for all of us. Of course practice and dryfiring can help these things.

"Shred2DotNet" Shoots the Challenge with a Desert Eagle 50AE!

"Shred2DotNet" has fun with the challenge and shoots it with a DE 50! Unfortunately the video appears to lag the audio because of a camera issue, but you can see the plates move from the hits. But even for shooting at a farther distance than he needed, his time is just over 4 seconds.

"samprasfoon06" BURNS down the challange with an AirSoft! You have to see this!

"samprasfoon06" shoots the challenge with an iron sighted Limited Airsoft gun. In countries with heavy restrictions on guns or are banned, Airsoft replicas are used to compete with instead. Airsoft replicas of IPSC guns are very realistic but lack the range of real steel. So the IPSC targets are "reduced" in size to simulate more distance between the target and shooter to help aid in the power and accuracy of the 6mm BB. Even though no paper plates are used, the hits samprasfoon06 gets are on a smaller area. Bad Ass run!
